Lesser Wife
Today I traveled back in time to Egypt. I found myself in the body of Nefertari. She was the lesser wife of Ramesses the Great (a lesser wife is the wife of a Pharaoh). She was known for her beauty and charm. Not only did the Pharaoh have slaves as well as her. Nefertari had the same rights as the Chief wife. She had her slave Amun do most of her slave work. Nefertari was a favorite of king Ramesses.
Soldier
Vizier
As my job of the Vizier, I supervise the running of the country.I am also called a prime minister at times. All other lesser supervisors and officials report to me and only me. I also sit on the High Court during the judiciary. At some point, the king could exert his own control over any aspects of government, overriding my decisions. I supervised the security of the pharaoh and the palace. I was the seal bearer of the pharaoh as well. I would record the trade also. In the New Kingdom, there were two Viziers, I was the one on the Upper Egypt. Another person was the Vizier of the Lower Egypt. According to the Installation of the Vizier, I have certain traits and behavior that is required. I act by the law, judge fairly, and do not act willfully or act headstrong. I, Sam Wood, have and take full responsibility for my actions as Vizier.
Farmer
Today i traveled back in time to Ancient Egypt to see what a farmer's life was like. In my journey I discovered that farmers lived in mud brick houses. Men and boys worked in the fields irrigating crops with a shaduf, which brought water from a river to a canal. I became tired after a short period of time because of the extreme heat. It is now the month of July in Egypt, which is during the flood months, so all the farmers are called for service to the government. Unfortunatly, the wealthy farmers could buy their way out of service, and it just so happens that the family I was with didn't fall under that category. By the end of the day I decided that I was ready to go back home. Life as a farmer in Aincient Egypt wasn't anything fun. It was really hard work and exhausting.
Slave
I'm a time traveler and today I am traveling to Ancient Egypt.I wasn't there ten seconds and I was captured as a prisoner of war.I was forced to work in the fields producing crops. It was very tiring work, and i was exhausted.I met one lady who works as a servent in a noble's house. She said that she worked very hard, maybe even harder than we do in the fields. She also told me that during rainy season we all worked for the government on large building projects. Finally I escaped and went to my time machine. When i got home I told all my class about Ancient Egypt and slaves. It wasnt very fun but,i learned alot!I might travel back one day and see more about Egypts life.
Nomarch
I am a Nomarch in Ancient Egypt. My Nome is Qena.In Qena I'd go around collecting taxes from the people of my Nome and talk to the people about what I could change to help the Nome. Then I'd go to a local courts and decide the faith of a theif.I would also meet with other Nomarch and the king to come up with ways to solve problems in all the kingdom and help our people. Then I tell my Army Comander to set out patrols around the citys. Then I take my best soldiers to a feast in the Kingdom with the King to end my one day as a Nomarch in Ancient Egypt.
Scribe
When i jumped into the daily life of Ancient Egypt I became a scribe. A normal day as a scribe was like this, first I went around the village and collected the goods ooffered as taxes by farmers , merchants, and etc... I then went to teach at scribe school. All the schools in egypt were run by scribes so they also known as scribe schools. After the school i went around annd performed a cencus , or count of all the residents of the village.I also had the privallage of recording the amount of food we have and documented how much rain the village recieved.Soon after I wrote a few documents such as wedding contracts.Afteer that I monitered how much food was distibuted throughout the village. To end my day I went off and monitered the building of mamy buildings and temples, and this was a regular day as a scribe in Ancient Egypt.
